The olive and the Museum of the Olive

The Museum of the Olive and Greek Olive Oil opened at the end of 2002 in the interwar building of the old Sparta Power Company, 129 Othonos-Amalias Street. It is run by the Piraeus Bank Group Cultural Foundation (PIOP) and won the 2004 first prize of the Hellenic Institute of Architecture. Hours (per PIOP): 1 March–15 October 10:00–18:00; 16 October–28 February 10:00–17:00; closed Tuesdays.
